Publication Frequency
The Journal of Holistic and Scientific Studies (JHSS) is a quarterly publication that issues are four in a year. This periodic process assists the journal to keep a forward flow of new research without being overwhelmed by too much research to be reviewed, edited, and eventually have all the necessary time to prepare every article.
Instead of the haste in printing works, the quarterly format allows time to control quality and to conduct intellectual discussion. It also makes the readers aware of when to anticipate new content and makes the journal an active one throughout the year.
For Contributors
Once a manuscript is accepted a schedule is placed on the next issue available subject to editorial schedule and the production queue. Authors are informed of the anticipated time of publication to enable them to prepare their academic updates, institutional reports or future submissions in accordance.
It is a method that prevents confusion and prevents a lack of clarity between the editorial team and contributors.
Why Quarterly?
Quarterly release is a reasonable compromise between speed and quality. It allows the journal to:
- Have regular academic presence.
- Allow sufficient peer review and revisions.
- Make sure it is well formatted and edited.
- Make research discourse up to date.
- Indexing and long-term archiving Support.
It is in plain words instead of holding down the journal and still maintaining standards.
Special Editions
Beside the four standard annual issues, JHSS can occasionally publish special or thematic issues devoted to new topics or new disciplinary interests of increasing concern. They have the same amount of editorial and peer-review as regular issues, but with additional space on specific academic discussion.
On the whole, the quarterly publication frequency indicates the desire of the journal to remain reliable, on-time and quality-conscious and assist both writers and readers in a well-structured and predictable manner.
